Топоним <em lang="en">Cedar City</em> я озвучил согласно варианту <a href="http://ru.citycatalogue.com/cityinfo.aspx?CountryID=163&CityID=22154" onсlick="javascript:urchinTracker('/outgoing/misc');" rel="nofollow">на одном левом сайте</a>. «Седер сити» само по себе не звучит так уж и плохо, но если просто записать кириллицей озвучку слова <em lang="en">cedar</em>, то получается либо «сидр», либо «сидар» с очень коротким звуком (а). Кто-нибудь знает, если есть традиционный перевод или какая-то общая конвенция транслитерации иностранных названий? Есть вопрос к мимоходящим знатокам.
